Grammar VI
I´m Karol Rojas, first of all I´m going to start mentioning how do I feel taking this course (Grammar VI). I can say that I hadn´t had some troubles understanding grammar before; however, this grammar we have been studying is more challenging for me. The structures we are going over are new, and some of them are not a piece of cake. Some of the structures we are studying are:
- Sintax
- Morphology
- subject- Verb agreement
- conjuctive adverbs
- Indefinite pronouns
- Pronoun and Precedent
- Coordinating Conjucunctions
- Parallel Structures
- Phrases
I´m certain that grammar is really important when learning English, that´s why my expectations for this course are to acquire more knowledge, and improve what I have learned until now.

Everything began when a really close friend invited me to her birthday party. At the beginning I was not planning to go, but she made me go to her party. The day finally arrived, I remember she had her sister help me with the transportation because the party was kind of late, and I did not have any vehicle to return to my home. At that moment everybody was enjoying the party (including me);actually, some of the people were drinking and eating snacks. There I met someone; I met a girl who had made out a guy I had date some time ago, so I felt strange but she was a really nice person, so I was not uncomfortable.
The problem appeared when the guy that my new friend and I had kissed, arrived to the party. I say that is was a big problem because that guy was not my friend anymore and there I was, long story short I felt really uncomfortable; therefore, I made my brother pick me up to the party and I left that place.

I´m gonna start by telling that I want to visit many places around the world, but in this case, I will talk about a city I want to visit in Peru. The name of the city is Machu Picchu, and I guess is obvious that I want to go there because in this amazing place you can find Machu Picchu; that is a 15th-century Inca citadel. Many consider Machu Picchu Peru´s greatest place. (pattern #6) If I travel to Peru, I would like to travel with my parents, so I would buy some tickets for them, (pattern #5) and then I would like to give them the best travel ever because they deserve it.
Talking about the famous author I like; I would mention Carlos Cuauhtemoc. He´s a mexican writer; actually, my favorite writer. He was born on April 15, 1964. He is not only a writer, but also a lecturer and entrepreneur man. He became famous (pattern #4) in 1992, with his book "un grito desesperado". I consider him successful, (pattern #7) and an amazing writer. I hope one day I can meet him face to face.

I can say that I haven´t been in a situation like that (that clause), but if I were in this situation , (if clause) I would try to talk with the person and explain to him or her what I said,(Wh- clauses) and tell him my intention was not offending him. I believe there are different ways to solve problems or conflicts; for example, I would apologize to the person whose face become angry (whose),so the person who misunderstood what I said is going to be calm (as subject). This is something I haven´t experienced I guess it´s because usually people I talk to are friendly. (as obj of prepo).

Since I knew the police was coming to my house to break into it, I had to hide the entrance of my secret laboratory with a big carpet. (cause and effect). Even though I was concious that having a lab for cryogenisation is illegal, I decided to create it because I would like to help people who are dying right now due to an incurable illness (even though- because), so in the lab I can freeze them, and later on the tecnology will be better; therefore, probably in the future scientist will find the cure for all these people. I know some poeple think this is something doesn´t make sense, whereas others consider it make work. (whereas). While some people are not sick and life their lives really happy, others do not have this privilegious. (while) that´s why the police must not find my lab.
I´m done with my blog ;)
As a kind of conclusion I would say that even though sometimes was tiring, I consider the idea of creating a blog helped me to went over the topics we were studying in class, and that was good.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan, he is an American former professional basketball player, that not only was a good player, but also was the inspiration for many people who wanted to play basketball. He had been playing basketball since 1982; moreover, he played 15 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), he played for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. He was a really talented boy, he was both engaging and skillful in his games, he could also demonstrate that everything can be possible if you make a big effort.
When playing basketball, he gained a reputation for being one of the best defensive players, he could either play for the Chicago Bulls or play for Washington Wizards he was the best, besides that Michael always behaved in a polite way, actually in an interview he said that neither the screams of people nor the pressure could make him be rude with someone, so that guy with black skin gained the love of millions of basketball fans. In a nutshell, I would say that this man from USA, is one of my favorite athletes.
